Stargazer Gourmet was born from necessity as much as passion. For years, I struggled to find road-trip and backpacking meals that worked with my celiac diagnosis and coconut allergy.

Everything on the market felt limited, unsafe, or uninspired. So I started cooking the way I always had—real, comforting food made from scratch—and dehydrating the meals so I could take them with me on every adventure.

What started as a personal solution quickly grew into something deeper. I wanted meals that weren’t just “safe,” but genuinely delicious. Meals that tasted like home wherever I happened to be. As friends tried them and asked for more, I realized there were many people craving the same thing: food that was clean, handcrafted, and filled with flavor instead of fillers.

Transitioning to freeze-drying opened the door to create meals that last longer without losing the soul of the dish. Every recipe still starts in my kitchen with whole ingredients, slow cooking, and flavors built from scratch. Housemade smoked brisket becomes rich brisket butter. Handmade Italian sausage brings real depth you can taste. Vegetables are roasted, broths are simmered, and nothing is ever rushed.
